I’ve been trying to get on Jeopardy since the early 90s. I’ve passed the test several times. With my luck, I’ll get picked the day after I die. Or have to go against Jamie.
If Jamie beats Ken Jennings’ record, it will be on June 25, 2026. Whether he makes it to that point or not, maybe you’ll get picked this year after he goes home.
Just imagine how the contestants that get to play the day after he goes home are going to feel!
Final wasn’t a cinch, but having seen it in 1971 when it was widely known as the unfinished church, made it easy. And it was also the answer in an online quiz I took this afternoon. First DD super easy, other 2 I missed but they were knowable for sure. Both challengers botched the 5-letter stumper, forgetting the category.
The twisted yarn clue wasn’t that impossible, and I also recognized the airport in the photo. The 5 rhyming clues were pretty soft.
Jaime didn’t make much on the Daily Doubles today but still managed to go over $700K. He’s still needs $48K+ to pass Chris Pannullo’s winnings. That might take him a couple more games. So far, he’s only had one game with a bigger single day payout: on April 2nd.
