Jamie finished in the lead with $13,000. Xaque was in second place with $1,800. Kathi was last with $1,000. All clues were shown. A reversal (see below) bumped Xaque’s score up to $3,800 before the next round began.

WHAT IS THE BAY OF BENGAL?

The Padma River gets its name from Sanskrit for lotus flower. Padma can also refer to the Hindu goddess Lakshmi, among other things. The lotus is the official flower of India and unofficial flower of Vietnam.

The Padma is a major distributary of the Ganges flowing southeast through Bangladesh for about 200 miles. It joins the Meghna River near Chandpur, continuing southward to the Bay of Bengal through the Meghna estuary. The Bay of Bengal is the world’s largest bay.

    This was Jamie’s 10th straight game with at least 30 correct responses. He’s still quite far from Ken Jennings’s record of 29, though. But Jamie has swept four consecutive weeks and he has surpassed Mattea Roach’s 560,983 and is now #6 in the all-time winnings in regular play and is #14 in the all-time winnings including tournaments and consolation prizes.
