Ugh! In my area, the Jeopardy game time slot has been frequently overshadowed with basketball games this week, but I hope that will not be the case tonight.

  2. Howard says:

Bond was such an obvious choice, I didn’t think that could be right. Plus I thought John Barry wrote the Bond movie theme.

Pretty good group tonight, but way too many wrong answers. Daisy seemed to be locked out most of the 2nd round. Alec confused Purdue’s home with Notre Dame’s and mysteriously said “At love first sight.” Didn’t matter in the long run.

Melissa has been strong all week on literature questions, so I was surprised she didn’t know the captain of the Caine. She must not have seen Bogart’s memorable performance in the movie as the paranoid captain with the missing strawberries. But she was playing with house money tonight after what happened yesterday.

Ancient history not my thing, but it wasn’t hard to figure out which Roman emperor wanted a statue of himself. I was telling my son earlier today who Mr Kate Upton is. And I’ve heard that “Call to the Post” probably a few thousand times.

Yes, Howard, I was also quite surprised when Melissa said Bligh for the Caine Mutiny captain. As for the Roman emperor, I’m sure they have had clues on this looney and his “boots” nickname before because that’s how I know it. 🤣

Pretty sure William Weyser would say darn those daily doubles to Melissa.
