I’m watching Dr. Loveless and Antoinette sing Brahms’ Lullaby on The Wild West Show , the one with words that starts ‘Lullaby and goodnight, with roses delight”
Crazy!
I always like to see a 3-way competitive game. Lots of knowable clues. Maybe I’m nitpicking, but the clue about the boxer before a name change should have been Cassius Clay, not Muhammad Ali. I blanked on Final but thought the first and third DDs were creampuffs.
Knew the Zamperini author but unfortunately mispronounced her surname. The dance that evolved from the samba was a big deal in the early to mid-60s, as was one of my favorite songs, “Girl from Ipanema.” Can’t believe no one knew the single-celled organism. The hang one “L” wasn’t too tough but you had to know it, not really guessable.
I didn’t think any of them got the Eydie Gorme reference for that dance, so I linked to the song.
I was quite fond of her hubby Steve Lawrence’s songs when I was a child. I would go out in the hall and dance on the stairs when “Footsteps” came on the radio.
This is the kind of FJ! when you slap your forehead in disbelief if you don’t get it in time. 🤣 I thought they wanted the title of the piece at first but switched to the composer alone in time. I still think they would have accepted Brahms Lullaby, though, since his name’s right there.
Jamie is now qualified for the Tournament of Champions having won 5 games. We’ll see if he can sweep the entire week tomorrow.
