  1. Steve says:

In FJ Stephen guessed “Colorado,” the state in which he lives. But one would expect anyone residing there to be aware that Colorado’s nickname, “Centennial State,” comes from its having been admitted to the Union in 1876. Thus, it couldn’t possibly have been the correct answer.

Not 1 of our best weeks, but Stephen Webb had a great run, and we’ll see him in the Tournament of Champions.

  3. Jacob Ska says:

Kudos to Stephen for being so knowledgeable and a classy player through all of his games. Can’t wait to see him again in the “TOC.” I read his post online where he stated that today’s match was his 6th game in one day. Ouch! He extended his congratulations to Kelly. Such a classy young man.

    • Howard says:

I agree with you, but you would not believe all the Stephen haters on the Jeopardy page on Facebook. And of course the many Mayim and Ken haters. Everyone’s a critic.

Historically they tape 5 shows in a day and 10 in a week, so 6 in a day is surprising.

Howard, I saw some of the verbal attacks online you refer to in your post. I’ve given up trying to figure out why somr people are so bitter and negative. I just chalk it up to the many mysteries of life that will never change. Stephen was a nice contestant imo. If you’re interested he will be on Jeopardy Reddit March 21, 2023 at 7 pm eastern standard time on Tuesday to answer questions. He has a very nice message posted on there.

  4. Howard says:

Unlike Sarah yesterday, Kelly was the strong player who wagered correctly in FJ.
I suspected it was Wyoming because that’s the state that allowed women to vote early on.

Some answerable stumpers (IMO): Dr Spaceman sitcom; French word for daily register; synonym for definitive.

Always something new to learn. Even though I saw that 2021 movie, I didn’t associate its title with a nickname for an LP. I lived in SoCal in the 70s-80s and knew that name only as that of a chain of record stores.

  5. Kevin Cheng says:

All this week Stephen has not found any daily doubles. 0 out of 15 available daily doubles but still he is leaving us with 8 wins and over 184,000 in cash.

    • VJ says:

What’s amazing is Stephen didn’t need to find any of those DDs to win 4 out of this week’s 5 games. He didn’t even need to know FJ! in 3 of the games, but he did need to know FJ! to win this one.
