Grant found the Jeopardy! round Daily Double in “Shakespearean Baby Names” under the $800 clue, with only one clue left after it. He was in second place with $4,000, $3,000 less than Lolita’s lead. He bet $2,000 and he was RIGHT.

Lolita finished in the lead with $7,000. Grant was second with $6,000 and Jessica was last with $4,400.

Round 2 Categories: Fungi – Grammy Record of the Year – Writers’ Vocabulary – State Holidays – 1917 – That’s a Mythtake!

Lolita found the first Daily Double in “Mythtake” under the $1,200 clue on the 8th pick. She was in the lead with $8,200 at this point, $600 more than Grant in second place. She bet $1,800 and she was RIGHT.

Grant found the last Daily Double in “Fungi” under the $1,600 clue, the second to last clue once again. He was in a second place tie with Lolita. They both had $10,400, $1,200 less than Jessica’s lead. He bet $3,000 and he was RIGHT.

Grant finished in the lead with $13,400. Jessica was next with $11,600 and Lolita was in third place with $10,400.

Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, is located on the island of Java. This 2011 video puts Jakarta at No. 6 in most populous capital cities. These figures appear to come from Enchanted Learning’s chart, and doesn’t include the entire metro area. This sortable chart on world capitals on includes metro areas but it doesn’t say what year the information is from.

Lolita bet $2,027 bringing her up to $12,427.

Jessica bet it all, doubling her score to $23,200.

Grant bet $10,000, enough to win the match with $23,400. “You are the new Jeopardy! champion,” Alex told him, “and that’s American money.” You could hear Grant giggling.
