Tanya was done in by her über-conservative wagering. And, what was even the deal with that FJ wager?

Concur on Final being an easy get.

  2. Albert says:

Matthew reminds me of a member of Monty Python.

  3. Howard says:

Tanya was a good player (and maybe could have won if she’d wagered more aggressively), but had that deer-in-the-headlights look the whole game.

Matthew was not his super-sharp self tonight. He and his competitors missed a number of clues that I thought were not so tough: the woman bishop (DD); TCB; the Paris banquet 2nd this; nuclear sub (I remembered that from grade school when it was new); the warm latitudes diseases; the president in 1899; and the Roxbury Homer.

I would not call FJ answer a gimme, but I did figure it out.

  4. Rick says:

Gee, I don’t mind the tough FJs, but surely they can come up with something better than these dead giveaways.
