WHAT IS “THE ODD COUPLE”?
“The Odd Couple”, a play by Neil Simon about mismatched roommates, started out on Broadway in 1965 with Walter Matthau playing Oscar Madison, a sportswriter and notorious slob. Art Carney originated the role of Felix Ungar, a neurotic newsman and neat freak. A 1968 film followed with Walter Matthau as Oscar again and Jack Lemmon as Felix. In 1970, Jack Klugman played Oscar and Tony Randall played Felix in a TV series that ran for 5 seasons.
Neil Simon got even more mileage out of the play in 1985 by adapting it for female leads. In this version of “The Odd Couple”, Oscar became Olive, first portrayed by Rita Moreno. Felix became Florence, first portrayed by Sally Struthers. The play ran for 8 months (6/11/1985 – 2/23/1986).
Elliott had Happy Valentine’s Day. That cost him $1.00. He finished with $4,599.
Ilhana tried “The Two Gentlemen of Verona”. She bet and lost her whole $10,600.
Vince got it right. He bet $5,000 and won the game with $21,600. Vince Bacani is a semifinalist.

I thought FJ was not nearly as difficult as it could have been. Also, didn’t look like a lot of creative thinking was going on with final.
Still, a somewhat spirited contest.
Fairly easy Final. Never saw the show, but saw the movie and the two subsequent TV series. I was hoping someone would know the 10-letter word for producing copies, but that was a toughie. Totally guessed to get the wedge-shaped country.
I’m thinking of various permutations of how they all should have wagered in FJ, but ultimately, it didn’t matter.
