I was 3/3 on DD and got FJ.

The epidural is just that – doesn’t puncture the dura. When doing a lumbar puncture (spinal tap), you want to enter the dura, to obtain the spinal fluid. For the epidural, they stay outside. Then, they can introduce the meds, which anesthetize the nerves (which come out of the dura like tree branches). If, unintentionally, the anesthesiologist punctures the dura, it’s called a “wet tap”, and the amount of anesthetic is reduced by about 90%. 125 years ago, I’m not sure they knew as much.

Anyways, despite the missed clues, numbers were still good. We’ll see how the finals go.

Good game, smart peiople, but a lot of wrong answers. Ryan seemed to pick up a lot of $$ answering after others’ errors. All 3 DDs were gettable; I missed only the 2nd one, thinking Katmandu. We had enough babies in our time that I knew what Final was. I did well overall but got only that one rhyming stumper about applause. I knew that Jefferson and Adams had died on 7-4, not that there was a third. My Mom also died on that date.

Wow, what a very competitive game tonight! As for me, I did a bit better than average, but none of us could come up with the correct response for FJ. In fact, all I could come up with was morphine. Oh well!

The daily doubles were found immediately in the first two clues in Double Jeopardy! It’s very unusual and we don’t see that often all the time.
