WHAT IS “DIE HARD”?
“Die Hard” (1988), starring Bruce Willis as the inimitable John “Yippee-ki-yay” McClain is without a doubt one of many action movies. However, the setting for “Die Hard” is an office Christmas party where a group of German bank robbers show up and hold everyone hostage, including McClain’s wife. You’ve probably seen yearly lists including “Die Hard” as a Christmas movie so pairing the category “Action Movie” with a last line about Christmas should be the big tipoff, whether you have seen the film or not.
In a December 2021 article, StephenFollows.com used four distinct perspectives to determine whether “Die Hard” is a Christmas movie or not. They mention that the film’s star told the Hollywood Reporter: “Die Hard is not a Christmas movie! It’s a (expletive) Bruce Willis movie!”
Allie didn’t bet a dime, standing pat on $4,800.
Sean bet $10,000 and finished with $26,600.
Ray also bet $10,000 and won the game with $32,600. Ray LaLonde is the new Jeopardy! champ.

As to FJ, as I mentioned on Spoiler Talk, I put the local news on when I woke up, then I looked up the clue and knew the answer right off because of the Xmas movie debate. Right after that, they came out with “Is DIe Hard a Christmas Movie” on the news!
That is the second time that happened to me with an FJ! clue. The other time was in January 2021, with a clue about an Elvis song. I had the Xfinity Oldies channel on and right after I saw and answered the FJ clue, the song played on TV!
I have no pity for bad wagers. If you’re in second place, go for broke..Sean could have won. Me, I doubt he makes the TOC.
Agreed. As a 3x winner, his TOC chances are slim indeed.
Allie, darn those Daily Doubles.
Well Sean played well with 80k I guess we might see him in the next toc. Happy to see everyone getting the final right. Ray might have a good shot at making a run of his own
