“Jilana” did the stand and stare after quickly writing her response like Brian did yesterday. I hope she doesn’t do that tomorrow. I wonder why some contestants don’t reread the clue and proofread their response when they finish quickly with plenty of time left before the music stops. It baffles me.

My goodness, Jilana, you are a superb player and quick on the buzzer. How could you not know the one lone existentialist contemporary of Camus? That is just mind-boggling. And then you bungled a cinch FJ. A long way to go to make up a huge deficit tomorrow.

I wonder if she is “showing her stripes” by these mis-steps. Drawing a blank on Sartre, and the FJ, alone with what you described as a “mind-numbing” wager yesterday in Final (to tie? Whaddya, crazy?). I hate to say it, but, makes me think I know why she was a “Second Chance” player. It’s going to get her.
