Smith alumna here and deeply disappointed that none of the three could guess Smith College — first college to be founded by a woman. By the way, Ken Jennings, it’s So-FY-a Smith, and not So-FEE-A. Her minister, John M. Greene tried to persuade her to leave her estate to his alma mater, Amherst College — Nope! (only hers because her father and brothers were dead). Congrats to Amy.

    GO, AMY, GO, GO, GO!!!

  3. Albert says:

    I had “Don”t ask, don’t tell”.

    • Richard Nelson says:

You probably did not read the year on the clue:1964. “Don’t ask..don’t tell ” was from the Clinton administration in 1993.

  4. VJ says:

A very Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating today

  5. Lou says:

Well I am happy to see the ladies getting final right today. And I am happy to see amy passing the 250000 dollar mark since Jennifer Quail. Although I have never heard of this before, it’s not pretty common to hear Don’t trust anyone over 30 as this phrase is not often used in society. Furthermore, if Amy can win game number 8 we will have our first female 8 time champ. Since it happened in 2019 it can easily happen in december 2021 and january 2022.

    • Richard Nelson says:

It was a VERY prevalent expression in the 1960’s . There was even a movie “Wild in the Streets” whose premise was anyone older than 30 was imprisoned.

  6. Elan Xu says:

Amy’s total winnings has now surpassed Jennifer Quail’s total as the second successful female contestant.
