Speaking of “Holzhauerian” comparisons, this game was over after about 5 clues. At least the challengers got into the positive numbers. If it had been a boxing match, the ref would have called it a TKO during the first commercial.

Stumped by FJ, but at least I got the mid-century 2nd term; the biological rate; and the NFL team, which lost another Thanksgiving heartbreaker today.

The double-T stumper reminded me of infamous VP Spiro T Agnew, who once referred to war protesters as “nattering nabobs of negativism.” I was at a Mets playoff game in 1973 when they posted on the scoreboard that he’d resigned. There was a huge roar of approval.

  3. Kevin Cheng says:

Happy Thanksgiving! Well that’s one way to celebrate Thanksgiving for our champion and Cris has devoured the competition and gobbled up a big win. He certainly has a lot to be thankful for on this day.

  4. VJ says:

Happy Thanksgiving to all those celebrating today.

    Astounding performance from Cris!

As for categories today, I always love it when I can recognize character actors in TV show or movie. Alas, I’m not very current with that these days and only got 2 in that category. I got all the Oscar winners though.
