TWO of the contestants got Final Jeopardy! right.
There’s quite an extensive History of Fingerprints on onin.com where for 1892, it says: “At Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1892, Inspector Eduardo Alvarez made the first criminal fingerprint identification. He was able to identify Francisca Rojas, a woman who murdered her two sons and cut her own throat in an attempt to place blame on another. Her bloody print was left on a door post, proving her identity as the murderer. Alvarez was trained by Juan Vucetich.” They even have an image of Rojas’ fingerprint.
Claire wrote down “forensic.” That cost her everything but a buck.
Lisa got it right. She didn’t bet anything so she remained at $18,000.
Katie got it right too. She bet $16,001 and won the game with $36,001. Katie Needles is the new Jeopardy! champ.

It seems to me that the answer to the temperature symbol would be water as much as coolant because there is just as much water on the tank as coolant. And actually the coolant is meant to cool the water so if the coolant is hot then the water is hot first. The contestant answered water and was wrong.
@VJ What exact car model do these dashboard light symbols used?
I have no idea, John Christian. Maybe someone else can help you on that.
Well we finally got a player with skill and comeback. Glad that Katie and Lisa both got final right. I am looking forward to seeing kate building momentum and getting runaways. Did you ever see Forensic files previously or CSI, VJ? Both of those shows are somehow related to the fj category and still they became popular on television.
@Lou, I used to watch crime shows, like American Crime with Bill Kurtis because I love Bill Kurtis, but I only watch them occasionally these days, like some of the those horrifying shows on Investigative Discovery. One can only take so much of that!
It was so nice of them to have a category in John Gielgud’s honor today. He was such a great actor. I didn’t have time to put the clues up in that category before now but I’ll do it when I get a chance.
