Last night I watched a 1958 film called “Lonelyhearts”, which is about a guy who takes a job as an advice columnist. Going from that description, I thought it was a comedy. Well, it was anything but. Idk if it can be classified as a noir, but one reviewer said: “This is a great film if you’re contemplating suicide because this will take you right over the edge.” omg! I didn’t finish watching it yet.
It stars Monty Clift, Robert Ryan and Myrna Loy and is on Tubi for free.
I used to watch a lot of films on Eddie Muller’s Noir Alley until Xfinity knocked TCM off my lineup. 😒 I even reviewed some of them on here. I still have the free Movies! channel and they have some goodies now and then.
I like noirs and have often said people who won’t watch B&W films miss a lot of great stuff!
Kudos to all three players with their excellent wagering strategy.
