I was 0/3 on DD and missed FJ. I also said Lake Baikal.
At least my mother thought I was handsome!
Well, that’s something… the Panda of the Sea is only cute!
Poor Ashley barely got out of the starting blocks. A bit unusual for a ToC-level player.
For Final “vaquita” sounded South American, so I said Amazon River and thought maybe Gulf of Mexico as an alternative. Didn’t matter but Cameron should have wagered $2801. His wager locked out Ashley, but a $2801 wager could have won the game if Paolo had bet $20K or thereabouts. Poor strategy,
I did fairly OK overall. Got all the EI clues including the stumper plant and the DD. Should have known the other 2 DDs but missed. The false-start clue was the only other stumper I knew.
Maybe Cameron’s betting strategy wasn’t the best but it didn’t matter since he didn’t get FJ! right. Cameron sure put up a valiant fight against Paolo, though!
There’s no way Cameron got that answer of Mondale in time. I heard the buzzer go and so much time elapsed before he said Mondale. Lol.
I agree that he didn’t get Mondale out before the buzzer went off, but he started to answer before the buzzer went off and I believe that’s what they go by (on Wheel of Fortune, too).
Too much time allowed before the buzzer, as well. Seems like it varies.
Wow. Ashley couldn’t get that signaling device working too well.
We are 0 for 9 in the semifinals. All of the Final clues have been a killer. Scott, Paolo, and TJ will be competing in the finals next week.
I hope that next week will be better for FJ!
