Yes! Yes! And I got final too how easy.

  2. Aidan Conroy says:

I’m gonna say the top 2 people in the finals will be Matt Amodio and Amy Schneider

  3. Howard says:

As I wrote a couple of times here recently, no one was likely to outscore Amy in regular game play, and the only way to beat her was to stay within half and nail FJ while she misses it.

I too noticed that both Rhone and Emma B are Chicago librarians.

All 3 of those DDs stumped me, but I knew FJ only because I’d read last week that Bangladesh has a large population.

About 15 minutes before the show aired here on the West coast, there was a headline on the Yahoo home page about her streak ending. I didn’t open it, but I knew the end was near. If not tonight, then soon.

I was in a discussion on FB the other night with some former ToC contestants, and the consensus was that there’s no way Amy and Matt will meet until the final. They’ll be kept apart in the first round, I’m told, for sure. It’s possible they could meet in a semi, especially if one was a wild card, but that too is unlikely to happen. The staff and the viewing public want them in the final.

  4. Elan Xu says:

I’m so sorry that our 40-time champion, Amy lost today.

  5. Jason says:

So, I’m on my phone, and it’s about 7:40 here. J! starts at 7:30 here, and I usually record it on the DVR, and watch it later (which is why my comments are always later than most). But, at 7:40, I get a news pop up stating the results of the game. Thanks, Chicago newspaper!

It’s just like tonight’s Forged in Fire. The channel guide for next week’s show gives the results of tonight! Bummer!!

  6. Albert says:

I really thought Amy was going to answer the Final correctly. It’s a strange thing with Jeopardy. Amy could answer soooooo many tough questions with answers I never heard of, yet still miss this Final. Jeopardy is truly a difficult, fascinating, and humbling game.

  7. Jacob Ska says:

I would like to offer an opinion that may not be too popular here. I notice that there is a lot of talk about a Tournament of Champions matchup between Matt and Amy. Somehow the name Sam Buttrey has been left out. Sam had few incorrect responses and was quick on the buzzer. Just wondering if he could be a spoiler? Does game longevity and high dollar amount history guarantee a slam dunk in all trivia matchups? I’m not so sure.

  8. Sean Cassidy says:

Oh, my goodness. Amy Schneider lost her streak, but she did beat Matt Amodio’s streak from last time.

  9. Rick says:

The FJ was fair enough, but I just couldn’t come up with the country. Well, I obviously wasn’t alone.

  10. Cindy Sanderson says:

Jeopardy, how dare you not televise the show to its entirely. You show the first two contestants reveal their answers, then when Amy comes on you go to 13 commercials. Are you kidding me?

    • Rick says:

That was exactly what happened to us too. As soon as Amy revealed her response, a slew of commercials suddenly appeared afterwards.

  11. EJC says:

Finally I can watch Jeopardy again! When one player dominates, the game becomes super boring. We got so sick of Amy answering every question that we stopped watching. I think the show should go back to limiting the number of games a person can play.

  12. TL says:

Final jeopardy sounded familiar — it was also a question on Master Minds last year

  13. Richard Corliss says:

This is not gonna be an easy tournament. Matt Amodio & Amy Schneider?!?! What’s gonna happen? Who’s going to win $250,000?

  14. J says:

What a farce and a letdown. Combined with Ken not hosting next month, time to ignore jeopardy til march

  15. Lou says:

Amy had a great 40 game run so far as we will see her in the tournament of Champions. Congratulations Rhone on being a giant killer and getting that last daily double. Now I hope rhone can build up on his win like Emma did in her previous run when she defeated James.

  16. Jacob Ska says:

If anyone listened very carefully to Amy’s GMA interview this past Monday she hinted, probably unintentionally, that she would be facing Matt Amodio in the next Tournament of Champions. The video is on YouTube for anyone to watch. It was a given she would not beat Ken’s record. The only thing none of us knew was when she would lose.

So now another Chicago librarian has defeated a superchamp. First James Holzhauer and now Amy. Good job Rhone. Congratulations!

    • Jacob Ska says:

Emma (librarian from Chicago) defeated James and Rhone (librarian from Chicago) defeated Amy. What a coincidence.

  17. JP says:

Very surprised Amy missed this FJ, as her geography knowledge seemed to be very strong. But this is not really a fact that you can memorize, which might explain it.

  18. Richard Corliss says:

    See you later, Amy.

  19. Kevin Cheng says:

For the first time in over two months we finally have a new Jeopardy champion. Congratulations to Rhone the librarian! After a lot of challengers failed to take down Amy, Rhone was able to do so thanks to getting that last DD before Amy did and it paid off and in the end he was the only player to get FJ! correct. What a dramatic ending and we will miss Amy a lot but congratulations to her on such a fantastic run.
