WHAT IS A KREMLIN?
Rusmania.com tells us that “…Moscow is not the only Russian city to have a kremlin, which is the Russian word for a mediaeval fortress which represented the centre of the city and the seat of the local prince or governor. fortification which did not surround the centre of a city is just called a fortress (крепость/krepost in Russian). Fortified monasteries also should not be confused with kremlins, although they too are sometimes incorrectly called kremlins.” They have great photos of a bunch of kremlins, including the fortresses mentioned in today’s FJ! clue: Pksov and Nizhny Novgorod.
Kristina didn’t bet anything, standing pat on $9,200.
David bet $2,001 and finished with $18,401.
Troy bet a hefty $14,401 and won the game with $32,801. His 5-day total is $170,401. That’s the highest 5-day total this season so far. Also, as Ken confirmed, Troy has secured his spot in the next Tournament of Champions.

I laughed when I wrote “a bunch of kremlins” in the sentence about the photos. I said to myself, it sounds like a bunch of donuts.
I asked Nikki what she thought it sounds like. She said “Gremlins from Kazakhstan.” I like her take better 🤣
