WHAT IS FRONTIER?
From Digital History: “In 1890 the superintendent of the U.S. Census announced that rapid western settlement meant that ‘there can hardly be said to be a frontier line.'” At this point, the Census Bureau officially stopped designating frontier areas. The article later mentions John F. Kennedy’s call to the USA in 1960 to enter a new frontier, and how we have met that challenge “in outer space and cyberspace and even below the ocean’s surface.”
In the present, The National Center for Frontier Communities (formerly Frontier Education Center) defines “Frontier America” as “sparsely populated areas that are geographically isolated from population centers and services.” According to their 2000 statistics, there are 812 frontier counties in 38 states in the USA.
Patrick bet $2,000 and brought his score up to $5,000.
Amy bet a big $25,000 and won the game with $71,400. That’s her best game yet. Up until now, her biggest win happened on a Thursday (12/2/2021). Amy’s 37-day total is 1,253,200.

Circumstances prevented me from watching Jeopardy the last two nights, so I was very happy to see that Amy has weathered the storm of the beginning of the week and made a huge comeback. Rah-rah, Amy!!! I’m cheering for you!!!
It seems brittany couldn’t catch up to Amy who won over 30 games so far. With the first 2022 dismissal from jeopardy as Amy has regained her comeback after catching a few unlucky breaks earlier this week. I would think Amy was very close to breaking Roger’s 70K record or James’s record but hey tomorrow might be Amy’s chance to break her record. The frontier has a lot of things to explore for outer space which reminded me of a couple of games like Inca 2 and Star Trek.
Bummer for Brittany because she was up against a buzzsaw in Amy today. Sometimes it just goes that way when a player dominates the game and you were like caught in a storm.
