Like Dondi, the other 2 players left me totally in their wake. For Final, I was thinking volcanic ash, so I wavered between Hawaii and Washington. First DD stumped me, 2nd was easy (and a ballsy wager by Ryan), 3rd one I dumbly thought of Tony Soprano (a show I saw exactly once and hated) instead of Tony Montana (didn’t see the film, but knew the famous phrase).
I own a Coolpix camera so knew that one. I’m too lazy to learn how to use my phone camera. Got the saltines name. Semi-ashamed to admit I knew the Bree/Susan/Lynette/Gabrielle foursome. Thought I might know the wigwam clue, but did not.
A man goes to a psychiatrist and says “Sometimes I think I’m a wigwam, sometimes I think I’m a tepee. Can you help me?” The doctor replies, “I know your problem. You’re two tents.”
That’s a classic one! I first saw it in Esquire, over 30 years ago, in an article about classic jokes from the 60s and before!
You can buy Trinitite online, but Most sellers only have regular Trinitite, looks like a dull green rock with few beauties. Trinitite Rocks on Etsy blows everyone out of the water with their collection! They have the glassy green Trinitite, the pieces living up to Trinitite’s Nickname: Green Glass. I purchased a regular and a glassy green. Huge difference! I love owning 2 types of unique pieces of history!
Happy New Year VJ! Both Abigail and Ryan are looking good heading into tomorrow’s game. Dondi has a lot of work to do tomorrow and needs a miracle to win but anything can happen. Tomorrow is the last Second Chance game of the season.
I was 1/3* on DD, and got FJ. The star is because I said “La Strada”, instead of “La Scala”, but I saw it in my mind. The Tony Montana one was easy peasy.
Ryan doesn’t strike me as especially charismatic. You might say that that doesn’t matter, bit, I see it as more comfortable with things of which you might not be sure, among other things. He did go all in on the one DD, but, that’s not usually a reliable path.
