Duke Rebounds From 23 Point Second Half Deficit to Beat Louisville 71-69

Sometimes there are signs out there that this could be your year. On February 12th, #2 Duke fell behind #16 Louisville 59-36 with 9:58 left in the second half. But the visiting Blue Devils crushed it the rest of the way through, outscoring the Cardinals 35-10 the rest of the way to emerge a 71-69 winner. Cam Redish hit a pair of free throws with 14 seconds left to win it for Duke (10-1 in the ACC, 22-2 overall). Zion Williamson led the Blue Devils with 27 points and 12 rebounds. Jordan Nwora led Louisville (8-4 in the ACC 17-8 overall) with 23 points and a dozen rebounds.

 
There were a couple of upsets in college basketball of note on February 12th as well. #19 LSU edged #5 Kentucky 73-71 in Lexington as the Tigers’ Kavell Bigby-Williams had a tip in as time expired. LSU is 10-1 in the SEC (20-4 overall), trailing only 11-0 Tennessee in the conference standings. The Wildcats are 9-2 in the SEC and 20-4 overall.

In the Big Ten, Penn State (2-11 in the conference, 9-15 overall) pulled off a huge upset over visiting Michigan 75-69. The Wolverines, ranked #6 , dropped to 11-3 in the Big Ten, 22-3 overall. They’ll be dropping in the next poll, too. Also in the Big Ten, #24 Maryland outscored #12 Purdue 40-18 in the second half to beat the Boilermakers 70-56. Maryland improved to 10-4 in the Big Ten and 19-6 overall, while Purdue is now 10-3, 17-7.
