Driving Miss Daisy: 1989 Best Picture

“Driving Miss Daisy” picked up 4 Oscars out of its 9 nominations, most notably, Best Picture and Best Actress (Jessica Tandy). The other Best Picture nominees were: “Field of Dreams”, “Born on the Fourth of July”, “My Left Foot” and “Dead Poets Society”.

Oliver Stone won Best Director for “Born on the Fourth of July”. Daniel Day-Lewis won Best Actor for his portrayal of Christy Brown in “My Left Foot” and Brenda Fricker won Best Supporting Actress as Mrs. Bridget Brown.
