Dodgers Finish Off Brewers to Advance to the World Series

It came down to Game 7 in the National League Championship Series, but the Los Angeles Dodgers put an end to the Brewers’ surprising season, beating Milwaukee 5-1 at Miller Park on October 20th. Although much was made about their creative use of their bullpen, the Brewers were done in by a lack of hitting and driving in runs.

Despite falling just short of winning the National League Pennant, the Brewers had a great run. Just two years ago, Milwaukee was 73-89. The Dodgers won consecutive N.L. Pennants for the first time since 1977-78, and are looking for their first World Series title since 1988. They will take on the Boston Red Sox in Game 1 of the World Series at Fenway Park on October 23rd.

The Red Sox and Dodgers have met in just one other World Series, way back in 1916. The at that time Brooklyn Robins as they called then (after long time manager Wilbert Robinson) lost the Series in five games. Babe Ruth pitched a 14 inning 2-1 complete game victory in Game 2; he was 0 for 5 batting.

I meant “Betts” of course. slight typo. Just pointing it out before you are all over me…..So the Red Sox did cheat, bribe and manipulate HOW exactly…..????
I don’t see any evidence from you coming, only senseless insults. Can’t change the fact that the Red Sox will win the WS though!!!!

This is now the WORST WORLD SERIES EVER. Both teams are definitely undeserving and no one wins but money and corruption. So, the first four months have been alright, with the Eagles winning the Super Bowl. But the next eight months have proven worse, evidenced by Israel’s “win” in Eurovision, Capitals “winning” the Stanley Cup over the Golden Knights, Croatia’s “victory” against England in the semifinals of the FIFA World Cup, and now the Dodgers-Red Sox World Series. 2018 has been the best year for cheating, bribery, and manipulation and the worst year for fairness, honesty, decency, and fair play.

@John B./I. You will watch the WORST WORLD SERIES EVER and for that, I WILL NEVER WATCH IT BECAUSE I WILL NEVER ACCEPT IT! NEVER!

The Red Sox had the best record in the Major League (AL and NL combined ) UNDESERVING???? A fan should be a supporter, not a fanatic. So where exactly did the Sox cheat, bribe and manipulate? If you level accusations, back them up, please!

    • John B./I. says:

A little obsessed, aren’t you???? I’ll watch it and so will many others and the Sox will win the WS and they deserve to do so. If you don’t want to watch it be my guest. Would be ironic if it turned out to be one of the best WS ever with incredible plays! Your loss!

@John B./I. I’m sorry, but I refuse that! I WILL NEVER ACCEPT IT! SHAME ON YOU!

        • John B./I. says:

You still have not told me what the Red Sox did wrong??? You just throw accusations without the smallest piece of evidence…BTW

          RED SOX 1 DODGERS 0

And they will be really sorry that you don’t watch the games. I heard a rumor that the flags will be flying at half-staff throughout the WS because you boycott them, so you have never given a tangible reason…gotta be a Yankee fan…

Shame? Mookie bets is the best hitter in MLB and an excellent outfielder to boot! I am PROUD of my Red Sox. You better come up with some concrete facts otherwise this gets boring….come to think of it, it IS already boring!!

      @ J C A
You can never get information or knowledge into a closed mind……
And you NEVER offered a shred of evidence what kind of bribery, cheating or corruption was going on, although I asked you every time you were-and are- attacking the Red Sox v Dodgers series. Talk about being stubborn and not having any reason for it, just unproven accusations. Tells me a lot about how your mind works……
