Dalilah Muhammad Sets World Record in 400 Meter Hurdles at U.S. Track and Field Championships
We are a year away from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and it’s time to start getting acquainted or reacquainted with the athletes who may be participating at the games. One of those to get reacquainted with is Dalilah Muhammad, who won the Gold Medal in the women’s 400 meter hurdles at the Rio Games in 2016. At the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships held over the July 25th-28th weekend in Des Moines, Iowa, Muhammad showed she is ready to defend her Olympic Gold. She not only won the 400 hurdles, she set as new world record in the process with a time of 52.20. That broke a 16 year old record. And she did it on a wet track.
