Corey Crawford and Blackhawks Stay Hot, Win Seventh Straight

The Chicago Blackhawks beat the St. Louis Blues 2-1 in St. Louis in overtime on November 9th for their seventh straight victory. Goalie Corey Crawford has been the winning goalie in six of those games, and he had 27 saves in this one to improve to 7-3-1 on the year.

Crawford and the Blackhawks as a team got off to a sluggish start this season. After a shootout loss to the Calgary Flames on October 24th, Crawford was 1-3-1 for the season. He hasn’t lost since, and the Blackhawks have 21 points and are 10-3-1 for the season, which is the best record in the Western Conference and second best in the league, behind Montreal (11-1-1, 23 points). The Blackhawks will host the Canadiens  on November 13th.
