Capitals Beat Lightning, Take 2-0 Lead in NHL Eastern Finals

Maybe this finally is the year for the Washington Capitals. The Capitals beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 6-2 in Tampa on May 13th to take a 2-0 lead in the Stanley Cup Eastern Conference Finals, with both victories on the road. It’s rare that a team loses a best of seven series after taking the first two on the road, and while Washington seldom fails to disappoint its fans, the Caps have looked very good and are already farther than they usually go in the post season. Maybe the law of averages is taking over.

The series moves to Washington for Games 3 and 4 on May 15th and 16th.
