Bucks Beat Raptors 105-92 in Battle of NBA Eastern Conference Leaders
The Toronto Raptors had won 10 games in a row at home when the Milwaukee Bucks came to town on January 31st for the fourth and final regular season matchup between the leaders in the NBA Eastern Conference. The Raptors last home loss was back on December 9th–a 104-99 loss to the Bucks.
The streak came to an end as Milwaukee beat Toronto 105-92. The Bucks were led by Giannis Antetokounmpo with 19 points and nine rebounds. All five starters for Milwaukee scored in double figures and had at least six rebounds. The bench contributed as well; D.J. Wilson scored a career high 16 points and had five rebounds while George Hill added 10 points. Pascal Siakam led the Raptors with 28. The Bucks were able to hold Kawhi Leonard to 16 points; he had scored at least 20 in 22 straight games.
Milwaukee wins the season series with Toronto 3-1, including both games in Toronto. As February begins, the Bucks (37-13) have the best record in not just the NBA East, but in the league as well. Toronto is second in the East at 37-16; in the West, Golden State is 36-15 with Denver right behind at 35-15.
