Brad Keselowski Wins NASCAR Supermarket Heroes 500

Brad Keselowski, running in third place at the Supermarket Heroes 500, in Bristol, Tennessee on May 31st, took advantage of an accident involving the two leaders to win for the second time in a week on the NASCAR Cup Circuit. Chase Elliot and Joey Logano collided, enabling Keselowski to slip past for the win. Clint Bowyer was second. Keselowski won the Coca Cola 600 on May 24th.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the race was held in front of no spectators. While that no doubt has some effect on the atmosphere for the drivers, especially at the end when there is no one to cheer for the winner, we usually don’t miss it much while watching auto racing on TV due to all the noise from the car engines. And it’s nice to have some kind of sports back, fans in the stands or not.

The Cup Series continues on June 7th with the Folds of Honor Quik Trip 500 in Atlanta.
