Alec Baldwin’s Uncontrollable Addiction

Alec Baldwin would rather switch planes than give up his addiction to “Words with Friends.” The 53-year-old actor got kicked off an American Airlines plane because, according to him, a “Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving.”

He also tweeted that he would never again fly on American Airlines, “where retired Catholic school gym teachers from the 1950’s find jobs as flight attendants.”

Another passenger on the flight complained about the incident on Twitter.”On an AA flight at LAX. Alec Baldwin removed from the plane We had to go back to the gate. Terrible that everyone had to wait,” Michael J. Wolf, a consulting firm exec, tweeted.

A spokesman for Alec smoothed the whole thing over with this statement to CNN: “He loves WWF so much that he was willing to leave a plane for it, but he has already boarded another AA flight.”

If you don’t know what “Words With Friends” is, it’s a digital word-building game that even has its own website. Beware! Alec Baldwin says, “It’s…well….addicting.”

And, just to show how much he loves words games, Alec also tweeted a clue to a word for TMZ founder Harvey Levin:

“What’s a twelve letter word that is interchangeable for HARVEY LEVIN?”

Our guess is he means a compound word that begins with “m” and the seventh letter is “f”. What’s yours?

Update: Alec later totally deactivated his twitter account, and the handle for that account now says @deactivated001 (but you can still see it was his account in the address bar).
