Against the Wall: The Mole (S1, Ep2)

The real title of Against the Wall’s Episode 2 (Season 1) was “Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head,” we think. Lifetime is calling it “A Good Cop,” but we like “The Mole” better, because that is who Abby and Lina were looking for in their case.

Much of the family drama centered around Abby’s brother, Richie, shooting a 15-year-old he thought was armed and Brody covering up for him. Abby cannot restrain herself from spying on both sides, her family and the Internal Affairs investigation, despite her superior, Carl Scott’s warning that he will kick her out and she’ll be a beat cop, shoveling shit, before she knows what hit her.

Abby’s daddy got in a fight in the locker room with another officer who busted his chops about having a rat for a daughter. He doesn’t approve of his daughter’s choice, but that doesn’t mean other people can make rodent remarks. Abby’s mom was feeling so bad for the mother of the 15-year-old, she decided to bring food over to the wake. That didn’t go over too well with her husband.

Stacey Anderson, one of Abby’s heroes, has a mole in her department. Stacey turns out to be having a love affair with one of her detectives, Shane. It seems Stacey is also setting him up for a fall, if not permanent elimination, but Abby and Lina figure out a way to beat Stacey at her own game.

As for steamy sex scenes, well, it started out promising, with Abby handcuffing Brody. Brody wanted to know why she was getting kinky, then she asked him a question about the gun he supposedly cleared at the shooting, and he told her to get the handcuffs off him and get out! Now she can take up with Dan, who happens to be lurking around working on something or other.
