Aaron Judge is On a Home Run Roll As Yankees Sweep Red Sox

Aaron Judge belted a pair of home runs as the New York Yankees beat the Boston Red Sox 9-7 on August 2nd. The two homers were the fifth and sixth of the season for Judge, who has homered in five straight games. Judge also drove in five runs; his six home runs and 14 RBIs lead the majors.

The Yankees swept a three game weekend set over the Red Sox at Yankee Stadium, and are off to a 7-1 start, equaling the best eight game start in franchise history, which is a little surprising to us that one of those great Yankees teams of the past didn’t start out 8-0. The Yankees will host the Philadelphia Phillies for two games beginning August 3rd before going to Philadelphia for two more after that. The Phillies, have only played three games due to Covid-10 protocol; they have been out of action since playing the infected Marlins, but have been medically cleared to play.
