There were two triple stumpers this week. Thursday’s might have been a mite easier than Monday’s. I have no basis for that supposition whatsoever. I’m just thinking if they polled 100 potential Jeopardy! contestants with both clues, there would be more hits on Thursday’s answer than on Monday’s. Tuesday’s clue was the easiest. The only basis we have to support that statement is the fact that there have been many clues on this city and the Popes in the past. Regular viewers should know this one cold by now.
New champ, Jay Foster returned on Monday for his second game. He won that game but lost on Tuesday to Scott Plummer. Jay’s total winnings were $25,599. Emma Saltzberg defeated Scott on Wednesday and won $54,199 by the end of the week. She’ll be back on Monday for her 4th game.
Here is the “READ IT OR EAT IT” category from Tuesday’s game.

😂—Thanks for bringing these past ones to my attention, VJ; I guess they went unnoticed by me then.
Yeah, I guess you’re right, and they’re just trying their hands on creativity. I guess it’s better than when they try to be cute. 😀
I found the category’s name on Monday curious. Why “women who write”, as opposed to “writers”, or “authors”.
Maybe I’m missing something.
Cece, they’ve had this category twice before that I came across in J-Archive. One was 7/6/2021 (no triple stumpers, no DDs and it wasn’t used for the Sneak Peek so none of the clue would be in the recap. The other was in one of Cindy Stowell’s games in 2016. There was a Daily Double in that one.
Maybe they are trying to be creative or just change things up now and then. In that case, perhaps we will see Women Who Doodle for Women Artists…. or they can go all out with Women Who Doodle all the Doo Dah Day 🤣
