Joy Behar Responds to Snooki Spoof

Joy Behar was out in Las Vegas talking to Penn Jillette and Holly Madison about that old Playboy, Hugh Hefner and his impending marriage to 24-year old Playmate Crystal Harris, but she took a few minutes to acknowledge the Snooki and JWoww spoof:

We actually saw this video yesterday, but didn’t want to write anything about it unless Joy said something. If Joy didn’t want to dignify it with a response, neither did we. LOL! But Joy says she doesn’t care who makes fun of her — au contraire,she thinks it’s funny.

“As you may know out there, I love satire,” Joy said, “Molière,  Jonathan Swift, Snooki …”

A clip was shown starting at about 1:10 of the youtube, where Snooki says:

“This girl is disgusting. I am Joy and I’m on The frikkin’ View and I own everything in the world and I rule everything … and when I say Snooki is a whore, she’s a whore …”

Joy told Holly Madison that she happens to believe that “imitation is the highest form of flattery.”

“You keep believing that,” Penn Jillette said.

“It’s nice to know you own the world, too,” Holly said.

Penn wanted to know if it bothered Joy even a little bit, but, no, not a bit, according to Joy, who noted the spoof’s mentioning the Great Depression: “What are they going to say — I’m old? I’m fat? So what?”

She said if it bothered her, she wouldn’t even show it.

We were surprised that Joy ignored the beginning where JWoWW calls Joy “an ‘Italian wannabe’ who’s really Jewish.” It’s amazing how many people think Joy Behar is Jewish. Why is that anyway?

It is also a little ironic that Snooki and JWoWW took potshots at Joy on being bullied in school after the two of them had the gall to join the anti-bullying campaign, Love is Louder, last year.

Anyhow, clearly, Snooki and JWoWW did not watch the whole segment of the January 5th Joy Behar Show where Snooki’s appearance on Ellen’s show and the once-a-month garbage can camp-outs were discussed, because it was really Paulina Porizkova who said: “I’m surprised that she wakes up in the garbage only once a month. I mean, like the rest of the trash, she should be waking up there every day.”

Joy was basically just asking questions like “Why is Ellen interested in Snooki? Why are we talking about her?” to which Porizkova replied: “I think … she`s like the perfect role model of what`s wrong with our culture today. I mean, she is famous because she`s plump, orange and obnoxious.”
