WHAT IS THE PHILIPPINES?
After the Spanish-American War, Spain ceded the Philippines to the USA in December 1898. In 1899, Philippines fought the Americans in a bid for independence. The Philippine-American War formally ended with the Philippine Organic Act of 1902. One of the provisions of that Act permitted 2 Filipino nonvoting Resident Commissioners to represent the Philippines in the U.S. Congress.
At the time, William Howard Taft was Governor-General of the Philippines. An article on the U.S. House of Representatives Historical Essays section says: “The decision to give the Philippines two representatives in Washington is unique in American history, as all other overseas U.S. territories have been assigned either one Delegate or one Resident Commissioner. The justification for two appears to have come from Taft’s desire to maintain U.S. authority in the Philippines while providing the territory with a measure of autonomy.” The USA granted independence to the Philippines on July 4, 1946.
Andrea got it right. She bet $3,600 for an even $10,000 finish.
Michonne didn’t have a response. She didn’t bet anything so she won the game with $15,800. Michonne Omo is the new Jeopardy! champ.

It’s not Michonne’s fault that she bring Aaron the bad news, the clues were extremely mean to her.
Disappointed episode. All 3 DDs were missed resulted our eighth skunking of the season..
This game was so rough on Aaron today and he ended up being dismissed. Those Daily doubles certainly were not nice to the players. Michonne made a wise choice not to bet anything though I hope she can break the leader curse. Either it is a bad mojo or something else is going on VJ. Besides, I don’t remember Zane Grey ever mentioning anything about dogs or cats.
So I guess this means Aaron becomes the sixth player this season to not play Final J!. Did I get that right?
Seventh player.
Oh right, he’s the seventh player overall to not play in Final J!.
