@ VJ. I believe Karen Bascom Lambiotte is from Vicksburg MS and not the one near Kalamazoo MI, named after 2 different people. A science writer spends a lot of time correcting other people’s proofs and verifying technical information, unfortunately I don’t think she had the right categories in which she could shine.
Thanks, Taiwan Bill. I don’t think the categories were the problem for Karen. She had the same problem as Bif, couldn’t outbuzz Eric — only Bif got the 2 DDs and she didn’t
Did Bif get glasses because his contacts are bothering him?
A very easy FJ to be assumed, but mathematician Bif dethroned by attorney Eric. I hope Eric COULD hypothetically be the 5-time champion.
Now, am I mistaken that if Bif went true Daily Double on that last DD, he would have been in the lead at the end of the round? Seriously, I got so upset that I walked out of the room.
Nevertheless, as John said, it was a valiant battle. Congrats to Eric on that big payday.

Everything else being equal, Bif would have had 4.400 more (28.400, therefore a $ 600 lead) before FJ.The road not taken…..
Karen, you played well today. But bif and eric were pretty much all over the board today. It’s rare to see someone taking a,five today though but with a triple solve today, I hope Eric can break the jinx. I’ve watched greys anatomy for a long time now ever since ER ended at 15 seasons.
The more things change, the more they stay the same…
Last Monday we had a clean sweep, and this week started out the same way.
CONGRATULATIONS to Eric and to all 3 players for getting FJ right. However, Eric’s win means Bif could not break the jinx. Nice loot by Eric, must be in the top if not the top of this season!! All 3 DDs solved, and again we had 2 player way out front, neck on neck and the third one -Karen today- was way back, but did have a chance since the 2 leading players were so close. All in all: Good show, gutsy wagers
So we start all over again…VJ was clairvoyant with her comment “How often do we see a Friday 3 x winner take a dive on Monday”…it was not exactly a dive, but Bif lost in a valiant battle nevertheless…..
If Bif and Eric had both been wrong, Bif would have won as he bet very wisely.
Of course. Bif only covered Eric and Eric (had to/did) cover a double up by Bif. Smart move, but since Eric was right as well it became a moot point.
Karen, you did great, but the guys were so much faster causing you to have trouble with that button.
