Supporting Cast of Dream On – Ray Donovan

Here are some of the actors who were in “Dream On,” (12-23-2018), the ninth episode of “Ray Donovan,” Season 6. The episode recap is here.

Egg salad. My wife’s recipe. The best in all of New York.

Alan Alda played Arthur Amiot, the psychiatrist at Grandview who offered Ray half of his egg salad sandwich after Ray blamed his blackout on not eating. We think Ray thought that Dr. Amiot’s wife actually made the sandwich because when the doctor said his wife died at age 81, Ray looked at him so strangely, like he was thinking “how old was that sandwich?” Ray did tell Dr. Amiot that when he gets overwhelmed, he can’t breathe and feels like he’s drowning but didn’t tell him about the hallucinations he keeps having. At one point, before he went in to see the Mayor while wearing a wire, he called Dr. Amiot but didn’t say anything. Perhaps by the end of the season, Ray will go see the doctor to get the help he needs for his daughter’s sake. Certainly, everyone wants to see more of Alan Alda.

I’m going to scramble your brains, son.

Jay R. Adams played Billy Gator, Bunchy’s last opponent in The Eliminator. He posted a picture with Dash Mihok on Instagram and said that Dash “did both fights without using a double at all, and fought hard, even after accidentally smashing his nose on the top of my head.”

What’s to become of Bunchy now? We don’t think that guy with the Mayor who said they were dropping the charges against Bunchy was really with the FBI. Mayor Feratti is a duplicitous devil.

DeMar and Eldridge Damascus

Bowman Wright played twins DeMar and Eldridge. When DeMar approached Ray and asked him if he had seen his twin brother Eldridge, Ray obviously thought that DeMar was imagining things. After being released, while Bridget was asking him whether he really jumped off a building into the East River, Ray was distracted by the sight of Eldridge walking up to the information desk. We don’t think Ray could even hear what Eldridge was saying and it was just so odd that he paid more attention to that than to Bridget. Maybe Ray thought he was having another hallucination.

A note on Lena: Has she really had it with Ray or will Lena go back to work for him? Let’s not forget that Lena said she was going to kill Sam Winslow for engineering the death of Justine either.
