Amanda finished in the lead with $11,600. Jordan was next with $8,800 and Ali was in third place with $7,800.

Ali got it right. He bet $3,801 and finished with $11,601.
Jordan also got it. He bet $7,000. That brought him up to $15,800.

Well, I fortunately got out of 2 appointments I would have had this afternoon, so here we go:
Congratulations to Jordan for winning the game. Yet another new champion and also congratulations to Ali for getting it right and making it to the ToC list, at least for now. now:
@Jacob, The way I see it, we have the following picture for the ToC, since you mentioned Emily.
We have 2 tournament winners, Dhruv and Larry, 1 with 7 wins, 1 with 6, 2 with 5, 2 with 4 and 5 with 3 for a total of 13.
Ali is leading the “gang” of players who won 3 games with his 67.801 – pretty good average of 22.600 compared to Emily’s 15K average, putting him in the #9 spot. Then #10 Marty,#11 Jeffrey,#12 Kate and # 13 Emily. She still has a fighting chance, albeit a small one.
As far as Ali is concerned, we would need 7 players to win either 3 games with more than a total of 67.801, or 7 players with 4 wins regardless of the amount won or a combination thereof to knock him out of the ToC. So I am 100% sure that Ali will be in the Toc, unless J postpones it until there are at least 15 players with a minimum of 4 wins.
However, I don’t see that happening the way this season and especially the last 2 months have been going. There is also another scenario: we might get somebody who goes on a tear and wins 15 or 20 games. That would eat up 3 or 4 weeks, plus the summer break and an abundance (it seems )of 1 and 2 game winners. Also, Ali’s total is pretty good, he is leading the 3 game winners. I bet you a Mai Tai or anything you fancy that we will see Ali in the ToC.,,,:):):)
And last but not least, since I got the afternoon unexpectedly” off”I am happy that I have the timely opportunity to wish everybody a safe and fun weekend!!
P.S. We’ll see how Jordan will do on Monday , maybe we will have another Canadian in the ToC? Alex sure would be happy I would guess!
P.P.S. The lawyer got it too, but I think he just knew it. The connection from the Latin “vestibulum” being the entrance to the ear, then the inner ear causing vertigo is kind of a stretch I think. At least within 30 seconds.

Looks like the canadians have prevailed once again. Also I really hope that Ali and Jordan will meet in the toc if Jordan can win 4 games or more. Still though I was impressed that Ali made small bets in the daily doubles today despite not getting them. Plus, with Emily now out of the toc, marty and that guy from New york is looking good for now so let’s get a streaker by the end of June.
What is the cure for vertigo, VJ? In other words can medicine help reverse side effects?
@Lou, idk about the cure — I guess it depends on what the cause is. Maybe it can be fixed easier if it’s physical rather than psychological
@Louis, Emily is not out yet (see above), she is #13 right now, (they need 15, so I think she is still in) but probably won’t make it. I made a list that is current I believe.
Re vertigo: avoid any heights, roller coasters etc if it’s psychological. If it is a malformation in your ear, they can do a small surgical procedure and align the bones the right way. Takes about 30 minutes and you go home the same day.
There are no pills or so for a permanent treatment. If you HAVE to go up or on a boat (e.g. if you have to fly or if you get seasick , then you can try a mild tranquilizer before the trip.). Talk to your doctor
about it. Everybody reacts differently to certain meds.
But if the small bones in the inner ear are misaligned, surgery would fix it permanently. Just like you can have eye surgery for myopia e.g. Depends how often you have it and how badly it is bothering you to determine which way you want to go. Don’t drive when you know there might be something that could trigger it because you would get disoriented.
