Siobhan found the Jeopardy! round Daily Double in “Crime & Criminals” under the $600 clue on the 13th pick of the round. She was in third place at negative $600. Luke had the lead with $2,400. She bet $1,000 and thought it meant exile. That was WRONG.

Ellen finished in the lead with $5,000. Luke was second with $4,600 and Siobhan was last with $600.
Round 2 Categories: The First Name Game – Sculpture – Book to Movie – Hoosier History – Adverbs that Don’t End in -ly – Into Africa
Luke found the first Daily Double in “Sculpture” under the $2,000 clue exactly half way through the round. In second place with $5,000, he had $5,200 less than Ellen’s lead. He made it a true Daily Double and he was RIGHT.

Ellen found the last Daily Double in “Into Africa” under the $2,000 clue. She was in the lead with $12,200 now, $2,600 more than Luke in second place. The whole “Cars” category was still left. She bet $3,000 and she was RIGHT.

Ellen finished in the lead with $14,800. Luke was next with $9,600 and Siobhan was in third place with $4,600.

ABBA was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 10, 2010 by Bee Gees, Barry and Robin Gibb. ZZ Top was inducted on March 15, 2004 by Rolling Stone Keith Richards. (What a difference in the speeches!)

Siobhan got it right. Her $4,000 bet brought her up to $8,600.
Luke came up with AC/DC and Zeppelin. That cost him $9,000. He had $600 left.
Ellen also got it right. She bet $4,401 and won this match with $19,201, giving her a 2-day total of $23,200.

I liked the Books for the Young Category. Brought back memories of reading every night to my son. I recall that there were a number of Frances books.
Ellen Corrigan is a sweet pretty lady. She won $23.2K amount in two days and she looked 100% attractive in her turquoise dress in today’s episode. I guess, during this upcoming entire weekend, Ellen will be pinching both sides of her turquoise skirt carrying $23.2K on it, IMO.
Here’s hoping Ellen wins at least 2 more games and needs a suitcase to carry the money in. 🙂
Congrats to ellen. Another tough battle but she came out strong. Just hope she can keep it going for next week. but 15 triple stumpers is a lot since I used to live in Indiana back in the late 80s. I don’t remember much of it now, but that state will always be in my memory

At the very end of Double Jeopardy, they just don’t want to risk losing any $$ and don’t buzz in unless absolutely certain. Sure seems that way to me anyhow.
That being said, I was a bit miffed no one buzzed in on the $2K Tippecanoe clue.

On a note related to the FJ, it is a little annoying how the RRHOF inducts artists based on their definition of rock n’ roll, not how the people define it… which is unfortunate.

I don’t believe the majority of the people would define ABBA as rock n’ roll, where the “n'” means “and”. To me, they simply do not do both: they may roll, but do not rock. Thus, they might belong in the rock or roll HoF.
@Jacob: It now seems very fitting that you were mentioning “Waterloo” earlier in the week.
I liked the Daily Doubles in the second round… if the categories are as good as those two clues, it could be a fun Jeopardy match.
Now about the wrong answers… knew that someone would say AC/DC (to Luke’s credit, who would even expect a band like ABBA to be called “rock n’ roll”?). I’m guessing that Luke drew a blank on the second half of the clue and decided to classify Led Zeppelin as a “Z” band instead of an “L” band.
Good job for Ellen, though. She had what seemed to be another intense battle, and once again came out on top… a nice ending to the week.
