TOC 2015: Fifth Quarter-Final

Alex Jacob, Scott Lord and Michael Bilow are the players in the last quarter-final match of the 2015 Tournament of Champions.

6x champ Alex Jacob captured the imagination of many Jeopardy! viewers at least partly because, as Alex Trebek puts it in the video below, “he’s bright and he takes chances.” He’s a former poker champ who won over $2 million dollars at that profession. Alex played his last game on Monday, April 20, 2015. He lost that one so most of his FJs were during the previous week. Here is a video Jeopardy! put together of Alex Jacob moments.

5x champ Scott Lord was the last player in Season 31 to qualify for the TOC. He also lost on a Monday (7/27/15), so his whole winning streak took place during the week of July 20, 2015.

3x champ Michael Bilow played his last game on Wednesday during the week of March 30, 2015. Talk about taking risks, Michael made FJ bets that blew many minds and in the 3 games he won, racked up winnings usually associated with 5x winners.
