Supporting Cast of The Octopus: Ray Donovan

Here are the some of the actors who were in the supporting cast of “The Octopus”, Ray Donovan, Season 3, Episode 9.

Hank Azaria is back as Ed Cochran, former head of the FBI in L.A. He was a thorn in the Donovans’ sides in Season 2 until Ray Donovan (Liev Schreiber) fixed his wagon. It looks like the tables have turned and now Cochran will get a chance to even the score with Ray. He’s fool enough to take it.

Jill Basey played the old woman in the liquor aisle who earned herself some Southie-style verbal abuse from Abby Donovan (Paula Malcomson) for assuming that Terry Donovan’s (Eddie Marsan) Parkinson’s tremors meant he was drunk.

Nicholas Massouh played Alan Freedman from the U.S. Attorney General’s Office. He threatened to put Mickey Donovan (Jon Voight) in a federal prison (Lompoc) for 10 years. To avoid such a fate, Mickey had to help in a sting to bring down Ivan Belikov, a big Russian human trafficker. Belikov was portrayed by Aharon Impalé. In the episode credits, he was just listed as Impalé.

Patrick Robert Smith played a member of the Metro Task Force involved with the Belikov/Minassian sting. The episode credits just had him listed as Task Force Member #1, but IMDB has him listed as Task Force Member, Keller.

Robert Covarrubias played Father Cortes, the priest who married Bunchy and Teresa after serving communion to a bunch of unworthy souls. He warned them not to take communion if they weren’t worthy with a verse from the book of Corinithians (11:27), but they did it anyway after Ray decided it was “just a cracker.”
