WHAT IS THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE?
Joseph Strauss was the chief engineer on the Golden Gate Bridge project. The Bridge’s website has a timeline of his life. Strauss wrote poetry as a hobby. After the bridge’s completion, he wrote a poem called “The Mighty Task is Done.” Today’s clue gives the first two lines. The timeline has a link to several poems by Strauss and a student recites the first verse in the above video. Also, check out the website’s Research Library for plenty more info.
Alyson didn’t bet anything. She remained at $3,800.
John bet $399. He finished with $8,399.
Ben bet $199 and won this match with $16,399. The one-day champ spell is over at last. Ben’s 2-day total is $43,200.

I loved the Saint Andrews clue since the golf tournament will be there in a few days in Scotland.
Also liked the CEO category and F in geography category. Good game
Great going Ben.
Congrats to you and DT on the correct prediction :):)
Thanks vj. Didn’t John have $3600 @ the end of round 1? I may be wrong but that amount sticks in my head. We’re getting ready to watch the ESPY Awards. Normally the show is on ESPN though. ABC airs it tonight. Interesting!
He did have $3600, Jacob. Thanks 🙂
Thanks, VJ.
