WHO IS JOSIP BROZ TITO?
“On May 4, 1980 at exactly 3:05 PM (Josip Broz) Tito died in hospital center in Ljubljana after a long battle with his deteriorating health. He was buried in Belgrade in The House of Flowers and at his funeral there were 209 delegates from 127 different world nations, making it the largest funeral of any political figure in the 20th century. The funeral procession attendees included Margaret Thatcher, Yasser Arafat, Saddam Hussein and Leonid Brezhnev among others.” (Nova Online: Tito)
Other attendees included: (USA) Vice-President Walter Mondale, President Carter’s mother, Lillian; (China) President Hua Guofeng; (India) PM Indira Gandhi; (Jordan) King Hussein; (Libya) Muammar al-Gaddafi; (North Korea) President Kim Il-Sung; (Romania) Nicolae Ceaușescu; (West Germany) President Karl Carstens, Chancellor Helmut Schmidt;
Joann wrote down Milosovich. (Assuming she meant Slobodan Milošević, he had an entirely different type of funeral in 2006). She lost her $15,000 bet and finished with $600.
Catherine got it right. Her $7,601 bet brought her up to a winning total of $30,801. Her 3-day total is $58,801.
In today’s chat, Catherine talked about her experience as a hotel desk clerk and the time she had to remove a spider from a very big buff man’s room. She thought he may have felt a bit foolish when she was the one who showed up to take out the spider but she was perfectly polite about it.
