WHAT IS THE WITNESS PROTECTION PROGRAM?
The actual name of the program is “The Witness Security Program” or “WITSEC,” although it is commonly known as the Witness Protection Program. According to its FAQs, “More than 8,500 witnesses and 9,900 of their authorized family members have participated in the program since it began in 1971.” (U.S. Marshall’s Service Fact Sheet)
Mike wrote down the “Witness Relocation Program.” That was not acceptable so he lost his $11,500 bet, leaving him with $50.
Shanna thought it was the CIA. She didn’t bet a nickel though so she finished with $14,400.
John’s answer was accepted even though he seems to have left out the ‘e’ in Protection. He bet $12,801 so he ended up with $28,801 and we have another new champ.
