Jackson Family Loses Lawsuit
The Jackson family has lost their lawsuit seeking to hold AEG Live accountable for the death of Michael Jackson. The jury found that AEG Live did hire Conrad Murray, but that the doctor was neither unfit nor incompetent to treat Michael Jackson when he was hired.
In a post-court news conference, the jury foreman said that the verdict does not mean that they thought Conrad Murray proceeded to treat Jackson in an ethical manner.
Katherine Jackson may not have won any monetary compensation, but she claims vindication by the verdict because “this case was a search for the truth. We found the truth. AEG hired Dr. Conrad Murray, the man who is in jail for killing Michael Jackson,” something that AEG Live denied. Her attorney, Perry Sanders, says that they will consider any options that may be available to them regarding the finding that there was no negligence on the part of AEG Live.
