Phillip Phillips Talks with Jay Leno on Tonight Show

One day after winning American Idol’s Season 11 and only getting two hours sleep, Phillip Phillips appeared on the Tonight show to chat with Jay Leno.

We were curious to see what he would sing but he didn’t sing nothing. Instead, he talked about why his daddy named him Phillip Phillips. He was named after his daddy, so he is a junior. His father didn’t much like the name and they call him Donnie anyhow. But he gave it to his son all the same, even the middle name that they don’t talk about. Phillip said it was very easy to write when he was little.
