Charlie Sheen’s Rehab Joke?

TMZ claims that Charlie Sheen told them that since his 2-year-old twins boy, Max and Bob, are beginning to talk, he plans on spending some of his parenting time teaching them the word “rehab” so they’ll know where their mommy is.

Later after that story surfaced, Radar Online claimed a source told them that Brooke Mueller believes Sheen’s liittle joke violates the terms of their divorce agreement. Most divorce agreements contain a clause prohibiting the parties from bad-mouthing each other to the kids.

Admittedly, it’s pretty low of Sheen to say such a thing (if he really did) — but will a court agree that it’s bad-mouthing? It’s like slander — it’s only slander if it’s not true. Also, what negative connotation would a 2-year-old possibly get from being told a parent is in rehab?

According to Radar’s source, the provision in the Sheen/Mueller agreement isn’t limited to the kids: ” … Charlie isn’t allowed to publicly speak about Brooke in any negative way,” and Brooke is sick of him trying to make her look like a bad mother.

The thing is going to rehab if you have had substance abuse problems doesn’t make you a bad parent, it makes you a parent who is taking responsibility to get the help you need to be a good parent. The ridicule that may come your way from some people is part and parcel of that experience and ironically, it’s a lot more likely to come from pots calling kettles black.
