The week began with a triple stumper when all the players looked at the world of art for a response. As I mentioned in the recap, it would have been more accurate and more fair if the clue read “Frankfurt Trade Fair”, no pun intended. If it had said that and was still a triple stumper, then we would have said it was the hardest clue.
All the other clues got one correct response, even the one where only 2 players made it to the final round. I think that the U.S. Lakes clue was easiest of all, but that’s because I know what “pont” means in French and I also know that Champlain was an explorer.
This week’s winners:
Mon 5/4/26 $15,000 Tristan Williams
Tue 4/5/26 $27,300 Tristan Williams
Wed 4/6/26 $10,200 Tristan Williams
Thu 4/7/26 $19,201 Tristan Williams
Fri 5/8/26 $25,601 Tristan Williams
Returning champ Tristan William played and won his 4th game on Monday. He went on to win every game the rest of the week. The first 3 games were runaways. Tristan hit a few snags in the last 2 games of the week, but one thing we can say about Tristan: losing big on DDs doesn’t rattle the man. He managed to finish in the lead anyway in the last 2 games, plus he was the only one to get Final Jeopardy! right.
Tristan added $97,302 to the $61,199 he won last week, for an 8-game total of $158,501. As usual, an additional $25,000 was paid out in consolation prizes: $3,000 for second place and $2,000 for third place each day.
