Chiefs Continue to Find Ways to Win

There are, no doubt, people who are suffering from Kansas City Chiefs Fatigue. They have won the last two Super Bowls, and three of the last five with a Super Bowl loss in there, too. Kansas City has been dealing with a lot of injuries, including four wide receivers and a tight end who are on injured reserve, complicating quarterback Patrick Mahomes job. The Chiefs have not looked like a dominating team this year, except for one very important thing: they win, and they keep on winning, somehow managing to prevail. After Week 10 of the season, Kansas City (9-0) is the last undefeated team in the NFL. Seven of those nine wins were one score victories by seven points or less.

In their Week 10 game against the Denver Broncos, the Chiefs fell behind 14-3 in the second quarter, before closing to 14-10 by halftime. A field goal in each of the 3rd and 4th quarters gave the Chiefs a 16-14 lead. With time running out, Denver attempted a 35 yard field goal for the win, which is just a couple of yards further than a typical point after touchdown kick. But Kansas City’s Leo Chenal blocked the kick to preserve the victory.
