WHAT ARE NEVADA & OREGON?
The 5 states with 6 letters are: Alaska, Hawaii, Kansas, Nevada and Oregon. The answer is obvious when it’s written down like that, but it’s a different story when you have to think it out and write the answer down in 30 seconds. However, if you started on the West Coast, your chances of coming up with Oregon and Nevada would be a lot better than, say, if the Mississippi River part of the clue made Kansas spring into your mind right away.
On Sporcle: How far can you get in 4 minutes on this U.S. States by Name Length quiz? They give you the starting letter, but if there’s more than one, you have to put them in alphabetically. No doubt you’ll ace the 6-letter ones, but caveat! You can’t skip around.
Liz only had Kansas. She bet and lost her whole $200.
Soren only had Oregon. That cost him $200 and left him with $8,600.
Jake, like Liz, only had Kansas. He lost $333 but won the game with the remaining $20,667. His 3-day total is $68,661.

Did anyone hear Ken say something quizzical? Namely, in the silent letter category, he said “the two C’s in science”. Um, no, only the first one is silent.
Jake is definitely annoying me. The histrionics are over the top.
I think Jake could win 20 games.
If I didn’t live in Oregon, I might not have known that. Even so, I had to quickly envision the two states’ geographic positions. (I missed the rest of the show, but it looks as if Jake had clear sailing.)

I cant believe that none of the contestants got the FJ right. I mean, it was rather obvious that it was Nevada and Oregon. Actually, I got it off the bat as those two states were just staring at me.
And we got our second straight triple stumper this week thanks to that evil geography clue.
For the second day in a row this week, we get a clue that stumped all 3 players. Will we get a correct response tomorrow? We’ll see what happens.
