WHAT IS THE TOWER OF LONDON?
CemeteryTravel.com covered the Tower of London’s Chapel Royal of St. Peter ad Vincula (St. Peter in Chains) in a most interesting July 2021 post. It says some 1500 people are buried at the Chapel Royal and the crypt is all that remains of the original 12th century church.
Then there’s a rundown of the most famous people executed there, including those mentioned in the clue: Sir Thomas More; two of Henry VIII’s unfortunate queens, namely Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard; and the 9-day queen Jane Grey. The details of how they came to lose their heads are also recounted. Gruesome stuff!
Hillary went with the Tower Bridge. She lost her $10,000 bet and finished with $1,200.
Erin crossed off Westminster Abbey and went with the Tower of London. She added $13,599 to her score and finished with $27,199.
Troy had Westminster Abbey. It didn’t matter because he didn’t bet a farthing. Troy won the game with $27,600 and he is the new Jeopardy! champ.

I went with Westminster Abbey also. I should have known better, but, oh well!
It’s too bad about Erin not winning her second game; I don’t know what it was about her, but I liked seeing her!
I was also rooting for Erin, Jason. She was very sharp and she could have won the game if she could have gotten just one more clue in Double Jeopardy!
One of the rare times I thought all the DDs were easy. FJ stumped me; I was thinking St. Paul’s Cathedral or Westminster Abbey.
Nice comeback by Hillary to have a respectable finish. Troy took down a very strong player who was just a few bucks shy of avoiding a runaway and winning the game. (I know that sinking feeling all too well.)
I went with Westminster Abbey for FJ so I certainly flubbed that one. Oh well, I’ll pick up the marbles, and try my luck tomorrow.
This is the fourth straight game where a returning champ has been defeated. How is this going to affect the outcome anyway?
According to J archive, Troy Meyer is the husband of Season 26 player Genevieve Sheehan who was on the show back in late 2009 and she didn’t win. Today Troy won and he made his wife proud. We’ll see if he can become a 2 day champion and the only repeat champion this week.
